Just got off the phone with Robbie at R & K Spinners who lives in Sweethome and he is telling me about another record Kokanee caught yesterday at Wallowa Lake! This one was 8.23#, 25 1/2" long with a 16" belly!! Well it is a good thing that we stock those fishing lures!!

LATEST KOKANEE FISHING REPORT!! YESTERDAY, SATURDAY MAY 8, 2010 A NEW RECORD 8.85# KOKANEE WAS CAUGHT ON WALLOWA LAKE. This fish was caught with a wedding ring and was 26 inches long with a 17 1/4 inch girth. Congratulations Bob! That is a beauty!! (I will add a photo to show all of you what the fish and the happy fisherman look like.)
WORLD RECORD KOKANEE CAUGHT AT WALLOWA LAKE!! New unofficial world record caught by Pendleton, Oregon Ron Campbell is 27" long and weighs in at 9.67 pounds!! Great catch Ron! So the rumors of the 10 pounder (the one that got away) are getting closer to the truth all the time.....
